Levels of heavy metal and POP pollution in 2023
These pollution maps are based on modelling conducted by MSC-E in 2025. They show air concentrations and atmospheric deposition of heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) across the EMEP domain in 2023. The results were obtained using the latest version of the GLEMOS model (https://github.com/glemos-model) and emissions data officially reported by the countries in 2025.
